Deep in the darkened recesses of the forums is a chamber guarded by a three-headed dog with a name most would attach to a teddy bear or kitten. Just play a bit of music to put it to sleep. If you go through the trap door then you come upon several obstacles you must overcome to reach the… Oh wait, this is not a Harry Potter book. I’m supposed to be telling you about the Senior Members forum! Don’t worry, there is no vicious monster named Fluffy who will try to make you its next snack if you venture there…
However, the forum is only accessible to Senior members! Similar to how the Premium Thumbshare forum can only be accessed by users with a subscription. So you may not get too far unless you have a little medal next to your username. I don’t think playing music helps get you into the threads but… You can try.
Like the forum description says, this place is a
“Forum dedicated for Senior Members to collaborate between themselves and the deviantART Staff”
The Senior Members forum is a hub for all of the medal-bearing, old farts of deviantART. The rest of the community is able to view the most recent thread title but nothing else. The content of the forum is left private for only seniors to view. This leads to the big question for non-seniors, “What goes on there?!”
Well, it is not so different from the other forums. It looks the same, works the same. It even smells the same… Except for the occasional whiff of prunes and that distinct old person smell that reminds you fondly of your grandparents’ home. But alas, I am getting off topic again!
There is a thread to welcome new senior members and seniors are free to create their own topics to strike up conversation, ask a question, vent, or share something with the other old people. Really not so different from the other forums, right?
So, what’s going on there now? You can take a peek yourself and check out the thread titles to get an idea! Right now there is a weekly thread going around for the Senior members to ask each other questions and get to know one another better. Perhaps you can start something similar in the Deviants forum?
