Jen knew it was too late; so alone, it was cold -- too cold in the room, as she clutched Shroom, her imported Albino Tasmanian Rock tightly, her only hidding spot left in the house
She could had turned back time, could had take it all back...
It was wrong to had added that salsa from the table...
Could had made it all right... tears fell...
She wasn't alone anymore; the faint smell of burnt hair and dough permeated
...the touch, like a frozen crowbar perched on her shoulder...
The nameless shadow took form from behind; no remorse the voice uttered as it crept to her ear, draining the last shred of dignity from her...
